Grace and Power

Updated: Nov 29, 2018

2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Over the past week this has been one of those verses that seems to have appeared everywhere I’ve looked, and so, I thought it probably needed some investigating.

The challenge for me contained within this verse is, ‘How do I manage my weaknesses?’

Do I muscle through the situation, wearing myself out trying to do it all, allowing myself to be beaten-up by the enemy in the process? Or do I turn to Jesus relying on him for all the help he has to offer?

So my question for you is, ‘Are you feeling weak today?’

If you are, know that the Grace and Power of Jesus is perfected in your weakness.

As you come to the Father in prayer, know that all of your requirements are met in Him.

Here is a short list of some of God’s promises:

Provision for your needs. Matthew 6:25-34, Psalm 84:11

Strength in your persecution. 2 Timothy 3:11-12, Mark 10:29-30

Healing for all your diseases. Matthew 4:23, Exodus 15:26

Courage for your time of testing. Deuteronomy 31:6, James 1:2-4

Grace for your enemies. Proverbs 25:21, Romans 12:17-21
